Modify a voided payroll transaction
You can modify a voided payroll check as long as it hasn't been posted yet.
- Open the Void Payroll Checks and Advices screen.

Note the active company. If you want to change it, click
in the header and select the appropriate company.

In the Check/Advice Number field, do one of the following:
Enter the number of the voided payroll transaction you want to modify and press Tab.
Click
to select the voided payroll transaction you want to modify from a Lookup List.
- Review the payroll transaction details as described on the Void Payroll Checks and Advices Screen Field Reference.

In the Posting Group field, do one of the following:
Enter the code of the posting group for the voided payroll transaction.
Click
to select the posting group for the voided payroll transaction from a Lookup List.

In the Posting Date field, enter the posting date for the voided payroll transaction or click
to select the date from a Date Picker. The posting date is the date the voided transaction affects the general ledger.
Important: The posting date of the void cannot be earlier than the posting date of the original transaction. -
In the Void Transaction Date field, enter the transaction date for the void or click
to select the date from a Date Picker .
- In the Memo field, enter any comments or notes about the voided payroll transaction.

Click Save Void.
Note: If the Void Transaction Date is earlier than the original Check Date, a confirmation message appears. To save the void with the dates entered, click Yes. To cancel the void, click No.
