Configure the Mirror Application

Use the Settings menu to define your local sync folder, choose which Trimble Connect projects to display, and configure file type filters.

Take these steps to define where your synchronized project files will be stored on your local computer, adjust the list of displayed projects, and choose which types of files to include or exclude from synchronization events.
  1. Select Settings to open the configuration panel.
  2. Set the local sync folder that will house the data for all selected projects.
    1. Select My Mirror.
    2. Select the local folder that will act as your synchronization root.
    3. Confirm the folder choice.
This is now your primary local sync location.
  3. Choose which projects you want to display and sync.
    1. Select Sync Projects.
By default, the 20 most recent projects you have accessed are selected to display in the list.
    2. Adjust the list by selecting the checkbox next to any additional projects you want to display and clearing the checkbox next to any projects you want hidden from your local view.
    Your changes are saved automatically.
  4. If you want to prevent specific file types (like temporary files or logs) from ever being synchronized, which saves disk space and bandwidth, configure the file type filters.
    1. Select File Types.
    2. Enter a file type extension and a description that is meaningful to you.
    3. Choose one of the radio buttons.
      • Include: file types you want included in all sync events; any file type you do not select are ignored in all sync events.
      • Exclude: files types you never want included in any sync events.
    4. Select Add new filter.
    5. Repeat for each file type you want to include or exclude from sync events.
    Your entries are saved automatically.
