Financial Summary - Vista

The Financial Summary report provides a high-level overview of your Vista financials, ideal for executive teams or analysts who need a high-level view of the data.

This report is tied to the Vista: Financials dataset, and includes tabs for AP Summary, AP Details, AR Summary, AR Details, and GL Summary. You can also edit the report in the Power BI editor and save your changes.

AP Summary Tab

The AP Summary tab provides an overview of your accounts payable data. It displays the outstanding AP Balance as well as any AP amount that is on hold. In the AP Balance by Vendor section, you can view a breakdown of vendors alongside the number of days until the invoice is due. You can select a vendor to filter the dashboard based on that vendor. In the AP Aging section, you can select options for Days Until Due or Days Overdue to see invoices that match that category.

AP Details Tab

The AP Details tab provides a table view of all invoices by line item.

AR Summary Tab

The AR Summary tab provides an overview of your accounts receivable data. It displays the AR Balance and AR Retainage. In the AR Balance by Customer section, you can view a breakdown of customers alongside the outstanding balance for each category of Days Until Due or Days Overdue. You can select a customer name to filter the dashboard based on that customer. In the AR Aging section, you can select options for Days Until Due or Days Overdue to see invoices that match that category.

AR Details Tab

The AR Details tab provides a table view of all invoices by line item.

GL Summary Tab

The GL Summary tab provides the GL balance by the current month, quarter, and year. You can use the filters in the left-hand column to filter to a specific GL account, Account Type, or GL Company.

Edit in Power BI

Note that, if you have access to the Vista: Financials dataset, you can edit the Financial Summary report in Power BI and save any changes. To make changes to the report, from the Dashboards page, select the options menu on the right-hand side, and then select Edit in Power BI. From the Power BI editor, you can make changes.

View Data Definitions

When viewing this report, you can view the data definitions for any fields or metrics shown on the page by selecting the info icon in the upper-left corner of the dashboard.
