Change a Contract's Line Item Type

All contract schedules of values (SOVs) are set to a line type of either Lump Sum or Unit Based. You can change the line type to prompt Trimble Pay to recalculate the line items.

The contract must not yet be locked in order to take these steps. Contracts become locked in Trimble Pay when the subcontractor submits the contract's first bill.
To change the line type:
  1. From your Dashboard, select the project.
    The list of project contracts appears.
  2. Select the pertinent contract.
  3. Among the tabs at the top of the screen, select Settings.
    The Settings panel opens from the right side of the screen.
  4. Under Line item type, select Unit based or Lump sum.
  5. Select Save.
When you manually change the line item type, Trimble Pay does two things:
  • Recalculates your SOV line item values to convert them to the other type.
  • Stops trying to detect the contract's line item type based on information from your integrated ERP.
