Use To Asm on the Advanced Catalog Editing toolbar to convert cost items to list assemblies or to create a new list assembly with a selected cost item as a member.

When you convert a cost item to a list assembly, the original cost item is no longer available. If you select more than one cost item when you select to convert cost items to list assemblies, Viewpoint Estimating converts each cost item selected into a separate list assembly.

When you create a new list assembly with a selected cost item as a member, Viewpoint Estimating creates a list assembly based on the cost item and includes the cost item in the assembly members. The original cost item is still available. If you select more than one cost item when you create a new list assembly with the selected cost item as a member, Viewpoint Estimating creates a new list assembly for each cost item selected. Each new list assembly contains only the cost item from which it was created.

List assemblies appear in the same folder as the original cost item from which they were created or converted.

The Advanced Catalog Editing toolbar needs to be enabled on the Settings tab of the Estimating Preferences screen before you can access it by clicking More on the speedbar.

To open a job in the Manage Estimates screen, click Estimating > Estimating > Manage Estimates in the All Tasks pane. Then select the job you want to open, and click OK.
