Synchronize existing and imported data

  1. Open a job in the Manage Earthwork Estimates screen.
  2. Select the Takeoff tab, if it is not already active.
  3. In the Active Layer field on the toolbar, click to select Existing.
  4. Make sure that two different reference points have been created in the existing layer. See Digitize Spot Elevations and Reference Points for more information.
  5. In the Active Layer field on the toolbar, click to select Proposed.
  6. Make sure that two different reference points have been created in the proposed layer.
  7. Click Estimating > Earthwork > Tools > Synchronize Layers in the All Tasks pane.
  8. In the Existing Layer section, in the Reference Point 1 and Reference Point 2 fields, click to select the reference points in the existing layer to use in the synchronization.
  9. In the Proposed Layer section, in the Reference Point 1 and Reference Point 2 fields, click to select the reference points within the proposed layer that correspond to those selected for the existing layer.
  10. Select the option for the layer that contains the correct World Coordinates.
  11. Click OK.
