Transition a Trimble ID Managed User to a Native User

If you have an existing managed user who you need to make into a native Trimble ID user, you can transition their account so they can set up a native Trimble ID login.

You must be a System Admin to complete these steps. Make sure you set up your Vista Web portal to allow Trimble ID logins.
  1. For the managed user you want to transition to a native user, enter their email address in Vista PR Employee, or create a Vista VA User Profile for the user.

    Make sure to enter the user's email address, PR Company number, and Employee number on their Vista record.

  2. Once you have set up the user in Vista, you can unlink their managed Trimble ID from their portal profile. See the following article for steps in this process: Unlink Trimble ID from a User's Portal Profile.
  3. Instruct your user to create their native Trimble ID using their email address by following the steps outlined here: Create a Trimble ID to Sign in to Vista Web.

After completing these steps, your users will be able to log in to the portal using Trimble ID.

Users can tell if their account upgraded and linked to Trimble ID after logging in by selecting their name in the top right of the portal and verifying that a flag says TID Linked.
