Vista Web Native Trimble ID Users
In Vista Web, you can set up users with a Trimble ID login that uses their email address as a username. This type of Trimble ID user is referred to as a native user, who typically has a company email address and whose credentials are managed through Trimble ID.
Users who previously logged in using SSO with Viewpoint ID will be native Trimble ID users.
Native Trimble ID Users
- Credentials: Email address, typically a company email address. Example for sample user, Charlie Day: charlie_day@trimble.com
- Login managed by: Trimble ID
- Typically used by: Employees with a company email address, employees who previously used SSO with Viewpoint ID

Steps to Set Up Trimble ID Native Users in Vista Web
- 1. Configure Trimble ID Native User Logins

- Make sure Trimble ID is enabled for your Vista application and Vista Web portal.
- Configure Vista Web Trimble ID portal settings.
- Each user should have their email address on their Vista VA User Profile or
PR Employee record in order to log in using native Trimble ID. The
email address must be
unique and cannot exist on another employee's record
or in another PR
company. If users do not have their email entered in Vista,
they will be able to Manually Link Trimble ID to Their Portal
Profile.Set up users in one of the following locations in Vista:
- Vista VA User Profile: the User Name must be the user's email address
- Vista PR Employees: the user's Email Address must be entered in the field
