Enter Clock-In Clock-Out Time on a Grid Timecard

If you have Time Worked enabled for your Grid Timecard, you can record the start and stop times for your crew or employees.

  1. Go to Employee Tools > Grid Timecard.
  2. To clock in or out a group of employees, select the orange clock icon at the top of your grid.

    This opens the Group Clock In/Out window.

    Note: HR Management Grid Timecards only allow saving time for individual employees.
  3. To clock in a group of employees, select the Clock In tab.
    1. Select a Crew or add individual Employees. Select Add Employees to list them in the window.
    2. The Date and Time fields default to the current date and time. You must select a date in the current pay period.
    3. Select the checkbox next to each employee that you want to clock in. Next to the employee's name, you can see the last time they clocked in or out.
    4. Optional: You can select a Job and Phase.

      A note at the top of the tab indicates the number of employees you have selected to clock in.

    5. Select Clock In.
  4. To clock out a group of employees, select the Clock Out tab.
    1. To search clocked-in employees by job or phase, choose an option from the Filter by Job/Phase dropdown.
    2. The Date and Time fields default to the current date and time. You must select a date in the current pay period.
    3. Select the checkbox next to each employee that you want to clock out. Next to the employee's name, you can see the last time they clocked in or out.

      A note at the top of the tab indicates the number of employees you have selected to clock out.

    4. Select Clock Out.

      Employees are added to the timecard when they are clocked out. Start and Stop columns on the grid will automatically populate with the clock-in and clock-out times.

  5. To create timecard lines from clock entries:
    1. Select Actions > Create From Timeclock.
    2. In the Create Lines From Timeclock popup window, either select a Crew or add the Employees whose clock entries you want to use to create timecard lines.
    3. Select Create to add the lines.
      The Grid Timecard displays the new timecard line for the selected crew or employee(s).
      • Timeclock entries associated with a Job display as Job lines.
      • Timeclock entries with no line type display as Job lines.
      • Timeclock entries associated with an SM Work Order display as SM lines.
      • Timeclock entries associated with general Work Orders or Equipment will display as Mechanic lines.
    4. Edit the lines as needed.
  6. To view an employee's timeclock summary and timecard lines:
    1. Use the Employee filter to select a specific employee whose clock summary and timecard lines you want to review.
