Delete a Fiscal Year without a Data Balance or Budget Data

You can delete a fiscal year as long as you have not begun posting transactions to any months within the fiscal year.

In addition, there cannot be any balances or budgets associated with the fiscal year.

If you have not begun posting transactions, and you need to delete the fiscal year, you can do so using GL Fiscal Years. If balance and/or budget data exists for the fiscal year, the system will display a message indicating the information you need to remove. Once you have removed the data, you can then delete the fiscal year.

To delete a fiscal year that has no data balance or budget data:
  1. Open GL Fiscal Years.
  2. In the Fiscal Year Ending field, enter the fiscal year to delete or press F4 for a list of valid fiscal years.
  3. Click the Delete button in the toolbar.
