Deleting a Datatype Label

Use the VA Datatype Label form to delete labels (field description) for fields associated with certain datatypes.

This is useful when standard Vista™ software terminology does not quite match your organization’s terminology.

To delete a datatype label:

  1. In the VA Datatype label form, in the Datatype field, press F4 to select from a list of datatypes.
  2. Select the text in the Label field and click the Backspace key on your keyboard.
    Note: The Delete option has been removed from the toolbar and the Edit menu to prevent datatypes from being accidentally deleted.
