When your organization has chosen to use ProContractor Cloud (PCC), your ProContractor client runs on the hosted server and not your workstation. Microsoft Office also runs on the hosted server so it is available for use with ProContractor.

During the normal course of your work, ProContractor opens Microsoft Office applications on the hosted server, even if you already have a local version open. You don't have to do anything differently - you just have to be aware that these remote versions are required and that you may see multiple versions open at the same time.

The remote versions of Microsoft Office applications are used when performing tasks such as:

• Emailing attachments
• Drag and Drop to/from Outlook
• Exporting reports

Note that, in the taskbar, the icon for the remote application displays the remote desktop icon in the bottom right-hand corner.
