Connect Spectrum with App Xchange

Follow these steps to use Spectrum with App Xchange.

To complete this task, you will need permissions or assistance from the following roles.
  • A Spectrum administrator
  • A Spectrum user with support access
  • Your company's App Xchange account owner
Note: It is possible that one person fulfills multiple of these roles.
Ensure that you have received and accepted your invitation to the customer or integration deployment.
  1. Prepare your Spectrum environment.
    For instructions, see either Prepare a Spectrum Cloud Environment or Prepare a Spectrum On-Prem Environment, depending on if you are connecting a cloud or on-prem instance.
  2. Configure your Spectrum Web Services.
    For instructions, see Configure Spectrum Web Services.
  3. Create a connection in App Xchange.

    For instructions, see either Create a Spectrum Connection Using Enhanced Authentication or Create a Spectrum Connection Using Basic Authentication depending on your instance's authentication method.

    Note: If you are unsure if your Spectrum instance uses Enhanced Authentication, open Spectrum and navigate to System Administration > Installation > Data Exchange > Settings and check if the Enable Enhanced Authentication is checked. Enhanced Authentication is enabled by default in Spectrum. For more information, see Enhanced Authentication in the Spectrum Help.
