Properties Pane
The Properties pane is used for exploring the detailed information of a selected item.
- Model
- Tasks
- Features, with all their attributes
- Network links and nodes
The model is object-oriented. Geometry is like any other attribute type and is also listed in the Properties pane. Because of the deep model, and the need for special geometry listings, the Properties pane adjusts itself, depending on what type of attribute you're exploring.
| Goal | Procedure |
|---|---|
| Open or close the Properties pane | Select . |
| See properties of any item | Select the item in the Explorer, or in any graphical window. |
| See all attributes regardless of having value or not | Select the Options wheel inside the Properties pane and then select Show attributes with no value. |
| See detailed geometry (for example, point lists) | Within the geometry section, select the cell in the right column. Cells that are "browseable" (indicated by an arrow on the right after you select them) allow you to further explore the feature's geometry. Select the arrow to view this detailed information in the Properties pane. To return to the main attribute list, select the back button at the top. |
| See geometry of alignments | Within the geometry section, select the cell in the right column. Select the arrow to view this detailed information in the Properties pane. Use the dropdown at the top of the pane to either browse a point list (where each point is calculated every X meters, and X is defined in the Options Wheel), horizontal, or vertical elements. All alignment information is available. |
