Ranking Categories

Categories can be ranked and their order customized in certain areas of Takeoff, such as in-grid drop-down menus.

To begin, click the  icon on the Databook toolbar or select Edit > Edit Category Rankings.  The Category Rankings window will appear.

Click and drag, or use the buttons on the right-hand side, to adjust the order of the Categories.  The numbers in () represent the order in which the Category appears in the Databook.

When finished, click Save As Defaults to save the rankings as the default setting and then OK to close the window.  Selecting Load Defaults will now restore the Saved ranking.  To restore the original order, use the Data Set Order button.

The new Category order will then appear in some Takeoff Category Name menus, such as creating a new Special.

The  icon also appears on the Takeoff tool bar.
