Ranking Categories

You can rank your Categories, customizing the order they will appear in certain areas of Takeoff, such as in-grid drop-down menus.

To begin, click the  icon on the Databook toolbar or select Edit > Edit Category Rankings.  The Category Rankings window will appear.

You can click and drag, or use the buttons on the right-hand side to adjust the order of the Categories.  The numbers in () represent the order in which the Category appears in your Databook.

When finished, click Save As Defaults to save your rankings as the default setting and then OK to close the window.  From now on you can select Load Defaults to restore your Saved ranking.  If you wish to restore the original order, use the Data Set Order button.

Your new Category order will then appear in some Takeoff Category Name menus, such as creating a new Special.

The  icon also appears on the Takeoff tool bar.
