How to Copy a Bid Template to Additional Workstations

Follow these steps to export a dataset containing a bid template from one workstation and copy it to another.

Part 1: Export the Dataset (Source Workstation)

1. From the main menu, go to Data > Data Set Maintenance.

2. Select the dataset containing the new template (it will highlight in blue).

3. Go to File > Save Data.

4. Choose a save location and, if desired, update the file name.

5. Click Save.

6. Send the saved dataset file to the target user(s).
    

Part 2: Import the Dataset (Target Workstation)

1. Open the application and go to Data > Load Data.

2. In the Select a Saved Data Set window, navigate to the saved file, select it, and click Open.
    

3. Choose an unused slot number for the incoming dataset.

   Note: You cannot load a dataset into an occupied slot. To use a slot that already contains data, you must delete the existing dataset first.

4. Click OK.

Part 3: Copy the Template to Your Workspace (Target Workstation)

1. Go to Data > Data File Maintenance > Bid Templates.

2. Select the source dataset loaded in Part 2.

3. Select the specific template you wish to copy.
    

4. Right-click the template and select Copy.
    

5. Choose your destination target: Data Set or Job.

   • For Data Set: Select your target destination dataset.

   • For Job: Select the target Job and Estimate.

6. Left-click the target slot, then right-click and select Paste.

   

7. Click YES if prompted to overwrite.
