Stabicad
Context: The importance of Project Properties A project is always created within an existing Profile. During creation, StabiBASE prompts you to fill in the project properties immediately. It is important to do this carefully, as these fields are used to automatically populate your drawing title blocks.
Getting Started: Configuring the project
- Open StabiBASE and select the Profile (or Profile folder) where you want to create the project.
- In the menu, go to File > New > Project (or use the right-click menu).
- In the properties window, fill in the following fields:
- Name: Enter the project name or code (e.g., P-2026-05). Note: This usually also becomes the name of the Windows folder on your server.
- Description: Enter the full project title. This often synchronizes automatically with the 'Project Name' field in your title blocks.
- Initials: Select the initials of the project leader or drafts(wo)man.
- Output Language: Select the language for this project (e.g., English or Dutch). Warning: This setting determines the language of schedules, layer names, and Revit templates, and cannot be changed after creation!
- Backup settings: Check 'Create backup when changing phase' if you want StabiBASE to automatically keep an archive version when you change the status of a drawing (e.g., from Design to Construction).
- Click OK. StabiBASE will now create the project folder on your network drive, and the project is ready for use.
