Getting Started with Ferguson Pricing via Supplier Xchange in Estimation Desktop

With your Estimation Desktop subscription, you can utilize Supplier Xchange to get real-time access to Ferguson pricing.  It’s an automated digital workflow that reduces errors and eliminates manual updates.  Here is an overview:

These are three important steps to get started and optimize your Supplier Xchange connection with Ferguson.  

 

1. Update Estimation Desktop:  

For the best Supplier Xchange experience, use the latest version of Estimation Desktop.  The most recent versions are available through the Trimble Network portals  (see details in overview video at the top of the article).   If you are not on a subscription plan with the ability to update to the latest version, please contact your account representative to discuss options. 

 

2. Connect with Ferguson in Supplier Xchange:  

If you haven't already, request Ferguson as a vendor in Supplier Xchange and add them to your vendor list.  How to Request or Add Distributors  

 

3. Materials Database Updates: 

In order to achieve the best results with pricing, it's important to ensure that all UPCs are accurate and up to date in your Estimation Desktop materials database.  Here are three ways to update your database.  

 

1. Install a New User Database (NUD).  Installing the latest NUD will provide you with the most up to date material database.  Request help by creating an Estimation Desktop support case or contacting <mepsupport@trimble.com>.   
2. Request manual database update.  Request a review of your current database by creating a Supplier Xchange support case, or contacting <SupplierXchange@trimble.com>.
