Not version-specific
Stabicad
Context: Adding supplied files Usually, as an installer, you receive an architectural drawing (.dwg or .rvt) provided by an architect. To secure these files within your project structure, you must import or register them in StabiBASE, so you do not have to redraw them yourself. Note that in addition to CAD files, you can include all types of files (such as PDFs or Word documents) in StabiBASE,.
Getting Started: Importing or Registering a file The fastest and most commonly used method is the 'Drag & Drop' method:
- Open standard Windows Explorer and place this window next to your StabiBASE window.
- Ensure that the destination project is opened in the StabiBASE project explorer.
- In Windows Explorer, click on the drawing or document, drag it to the empty space in the project inside StabiBASE, and release the mouse button,.
- The file is now added. Right-click on it and select Properties...,.
- Fill in the correct data (metadata), such as the document name, description, scale, and paper format, and confirm with OK.
(Alternative method: Instead of dragging and dropping, you can also right-click on your project folder in StabiBASE and select Import or Register Folders and Files... from the menu. This will open a browse window allowing you to locate the source file on your computer),.
