How To Setup and Use NetPricer in Estimation Desktop Summary

To setup Estimation Desktop to use NetPricer, the following information will be required from NetPricer:

1. Username
2. Password
3. Vendor Username

Once you have the information above, continue with the steps below:

1. Open Estimation Desktop
2. Select any Job with entries in Takeoff
3. Click Summary
4. Open a Summary report
5. Click File > Preferences > Supplier Connect
6. Select NetPricer
7. Click New
8. Enter the Supplier Name (the Vendor Company or name)
9. Enter the Supplier ID (the Vendor Username provided by NetPricer)
10. Click OK
11. Click OK to close the Supplier Connect Options window
12. Click OK to close the Preferences window

Go into Summary, right-click in the heading area and select Customize Columns

1. The Customize window should open in the lower right corner of the screen
2. On the Bands tab, locate the Custom Column option; left click and drag the band to the position on the heading row where you would like to place it.  Once the double green arrows are seen, release the mouse button and the column will be added
3. Right click in the Header area and select Add Custom Column > Material Unit Column, change the column name to the Supplier's name and click OK
4. Select a group of items in the Summary list, right-click on one of the selected lines in the Supplier's Material Unit column and select EZPrice for version 10.1 and previous or NetPricer for version 10.2 and higher
5. If more than one distributor is setup, or no distributors are setup, you'll be shown the same dialog as File > Preferences > Supplier Connect, and you can add/delete/select the distributor from which to request pricing
6. Once you click OK, prices will be retrieved and populate the Custom Column created previously
7. Select all the item prices to use for the Summary, right-click on the column header, and choose Move To Material Unit to save. (Custom Column info will be saved between sessions, but deleted when the summary is updated)

TIP: The number of summary line items sent out for quotes should be limited to 250 or less, otherwise issues may occur.

NOTE: When submitting quotes for the first time, you will be prompted for the Username and Password provided to you by NetPricer.
