How to: Transfer workspaces and menu elements between CUI files in AutoCAD and CAD-platform

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Type the command CUI on the command line and press Enter.
  2. In the Customize User Interface dialog, click the Transfer tab.
  3. The left pane displays the current main menu file. On the right pane, click the Open file (folder) icon to open an external source CUI/CUIX file:

  4. Browse to the source CUI or CUIX file and click Open. The contents of the external CUI file will now be displayed in the right pane.
  5. Drag and drop the desired items from the right pane to the left pane. For example, to import a Workspace, select the target Workspace in the right pane and drag it directly onto Workspaces in the left pane:

  6. Click Apply and then OK to save the changes and close the CUI editor.

The transferred Workspace or menu element is now added to your main CUI configuration and ready to use.
