Important: Do not update AutoCAD or Revit to the latest version yet (.NET 10 Compatibility)
Not version-specific
Stabicad
The Issue: .NET 10 Framework Migration Autodesk has begun releasing updates that migrate AutoCAD and Revit to the new .NET 10 software framework. Stabicad is a .NET application that currently runs on the previous framework (.NET 8) and is not yet compatible with .NET 10. If you install these specific Autodesk updates, Stabicad will fail to launch within your CAD or Revit environments.
This conflict currently applies to:
- AutoCAD 2025 — starting from update 2025.1.4
- AutoCAD 2026 — starting from update 2026.1.2
- Revit 2025 — starting from update 2025.5
- Revit 2026 — starting from update 2026.5
Note: Autodesk has announced that older product lines (including AutoCAD 2025 and Revit 2025) will also receive a similar .NET 10 update in the future. Do not install these updates on older versions either.
Our Roadmap We originally planned the transition to .NET 10 to coincide with the Autodesk 2027 product line. Since Autodesk released these updates earlier than expected, we have accelerated our development. We expect to release a compatible Stabicad version supporting .NET 10 (and versions 2025–2027) in the autumn of 2026.
Advice and Resolution
We advise holding off on updating your Autodesk software until Stabicad officially announces .NET 10 support. If you or a colleague must upgrade to version 2026 immediately, please use only the compatible versions listed below.
Which versions are still compatible?
- AutoCAD 2025: Version 2025.0.162 or earlier
- AutoCAD 2026: Version 2026.1.1 or earlier
- Revit 2025: Version 2025.4 or earlier
- Revit 2026: Version 2026.4.2 or earlier
Step-by-step Guide: Installing the correct (compatible) Autodesk version
Because standard downloads in your Autodesk Account will install the latest (incompatible) version automatically, you must manually compile a custom installation package (deployment package):
For AutoCAD (Compatible Version):
- In your web browser, navigate to the Autodesk portal: manage.autodesk.com/products/deployments.
- Click Create package.
- Select AutoCAD.
- Under Select Version, click the right AutoCAD tab.
- Specifically select de version prior to the update!
- Complete the process and download the deployment package.
For Revit (Compatible Version):
- Navigate to manage.autodesk.com/products/deployments.
- Click Create package.
- Select Revit.
- Under Select Version, click the Revit 20xx tab.
- Specifically select the version prior to latest
- Complete the process and download the deployment package.
What to do if you have already updated? If you or your IT department have already installed the AutoCAD 2025/2026 or Revit 2025/2-26 updates, and Stabicad no longer starts, the only solution is to roll back to the previously supported version.
