Workaround: Annotatie offset elektrofamilies
Not version-specific
Stabicad
Issue: Since a specific version (from Revit 2024 onwards), it is no longer possible to set the offset of electrical symbols when using additional symbols (add-on symbols). This is a temporary issue for which the workaround below applies until it is permanently resolved.
Solution: Manual adjustment (Per model) To make these families work again in the current model, you can edit the family manually:
- Place the family in the model and add the additional symbol.
- Select the family and click on “Edit Family” in the top ribbon.
- In the Family Editor, go to the Reference Level and click on “Edit Family” in the ribbon again.
- Click on the group and select ungroup.
- Now drag a selection box over the symbol and the additional symbol.
- Create a new group from this selection.
- Next, load the adjusted Family into the other family.
- Choose “Overwrite the existing version and its parameter values".
- Then load the adjusted Family into your model and again choose “Overwrite the existing version and its parameter values".
Save in the Custom folder (Recommended structural workaround) To avoid having to repeat the above steps for every new model, you can save the adjusted symbols for multiple uses.
- Place the adjusted symbol under a new name in the Custom folder > ...\Families\Electrical.
- Open via Stabicad Palette > StabiTOOLS > Content > Local Content Browser.
Note: Keep in mind that Revit families are version-specific. We therefore advise creating these families for the Custom folder specifically in Revit 2023 or Revit 2024. Because this feature still worked in Revit 2023, it is somewhat easier to prepare the symbols in that version. They will then be updated automatically after placement.
