The Payroll History Trial Balance report tests for errors in Payroll data by checking the total state history balance for each employee against the earnings history and the employee file.

This report can be printed for all employees, or only for employees who have an error.

The Payroll system normally will not allow an employee to get out of balance. However, it is always possible, due to power outages, and so forth, that an out-of-balance condition may arise. This report will help you identify any out-of-balance conditions so that they may be corrected. Consult Viewpoint for instructions if it is necessary to correct an out-of-balance error.
