Send a Release

When you send a Release to the recipients, the Release will become locked. The files inside the release and any file attributes will also be frozen.

Releases can only be sent to project members and groups.

Email Notification

When a Release is sent, the notification email includes the following:

  • Project name
  • Project ID
  • Release ID
  • Deadline
  • Sent on
  • Sent by
  • Sent to
  • Release notes

File Details

  • File name (hyperlinked)
  • File version number
  • Version ID
  • Version timestamp

To send a release:

  1. Open your project in Trimble Connect for Browser.
  2. Go to the Releases page.
  3. Select the Release you want to send.
    The detail panel will open on the right-side.
  4. In the detail panel, select Send.
    A notification email will be sent to the recipients.
