Other Employer Tax Report

One or all provinces may be included in the report; it prints in alphabetical sequence by employee code.

This report also serves as an audit document, particularly if tax settings were not correct when payrolls were processed.

Incorrect setup, tax rate changes, and so on can result in unemployment tax calculation errors. This version of the report provides the raw information that can be used to assist you in determining the correct tax liability. Using the tax code's current setup, the report prints the subject-to earnings for that jurisdiction and deducts its current limit to arrive at the excess.

Number of weeks worked

This report uses the cheque date to determine the number of weeks worked. It does this using the number of days between the cheque date and the value you enter in the From cheque date field and dividing it by 7, which indicates which one of the 52 weeks it belongs to. Even if two cheques had dates in the same week, the week is counted only once.
