Components tab
Use this tab to define the components in the assembly setup. You should create a line for every detail you might need in the assembly. When you use the assembly setup to create an assembly in the estimate, you can only enter details for the lines defined in the assembly setup. If you need to add something to the assembly that was not included in the setup, you will have to add it as a separate cost item in the estimate. Therefore, it is important that you consider all aspects of the assembly when you define the components. Use the component groups to organize the lines.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Component Group Name grid - Each row in the grid is a component group that will appear in enterprise level assemblies. | |
Sort | Displays a 5-digit numeric
value used to sort the component groups. If you
want to override the sort for the cost type
category, enter a new number. Tip: You may want to leave gaps
in your Sort values, such as intervals of ten.
This makes it easy to insert or rearrange fields
later. |
