Install SQL Server on your Company Server

Take these steps if you're using the Standard version of SQL for your company's server and you're installing it for the first time.

If you are using the SQL Express version which is bundled with the ProContractor application, go instead to Upgrade ProContractor on the Server (SQL Express).

Please review the minimum hardware and software requirements before beginning this installation.

Belangrijk: If you use the SQL Server version of the ProContractor server, Viewpoint recommends that the person who installs and manages the SQL Server database is experienced with Microsoft SQL Server.
Opmerking: The ProContractor installation program checks that the server meets the Server-Based Network Requirements. Review the requirements and ensure that the server meets those requirements before installing the application.

For details on tuning Microsoft SQL Server to optimize performance with your application, see SQL Server Tuning Guidelines.
