Scale screen

Use the Scale screen to set the scale of the drawing for a new job or change the scale of the drawing for an existing job.

If you don't know the scale of a drawing, you can manually compensate the scale. This enables you to quickly calculate the scale of drawings that have been resized on a copier or sent to you through a fax machine. To compensate the scale for a drawing, you must know the length of at least one horizontal and one vertical distance on the drawing. For example, the length of a walk in the drawing might be 50 LF and the length of another walk might be 30 LF. With a digital image, you can compensate the scale using only one known distance (horizontal or vertical).

Note: To open a job in the Manage Earthwork Estimates screen, click Estimating > Earthwork > Manage Earthwork Estimates in the All Tasks pane. Click Open Existing Job. Then select the job you want to open, and click OK.
