Assign a Vista Imported Form Template to a Project

In Field View Classic, assign a form template to a project to make it available to project team members.

Confirm that the correct business unit is selected in the Current Business Is field, and that the correct project is selected in the Current Project Is field.
  1. Select Project Setup > Assign > Form Templates.
  2. From the Search tab, in the Form Template Type Contains field, type Vista Imported Forms, and then click Search.
All the Vista imported forms appear.
  3. From the Business Forms section on the right-hand side of the page, select the form template you want to assign, and then click the left arrow button.
The Assign Business Forms window appears.
  4. Click Save.
The form template appears in the Project Forms section of the page.
At this point, you can switch to the New Field View and add a form using the Vista imported form template. When adding a form, make sure to select Vista Imported Forms as the Type. The Vista imported form is available in New Field View, Field View Classic, and mobile devices. For details see Add a Form to a Project in the online help.
Once you've updated a Vista imported form in Field View, in order to send the updates back to Vista so that the corresponding user defined form is updated in Vista, you must change the form status (or, in Classic View, the workflow status) to Closed. If you need to make subsequent updates to the form, you can do so. When you change the status back to Closed, the updates will write back to Vista.

For details on changing the status of a form in Field View, see Change the Status of a Form. For the Classic Field View, see Change the Workflow Status of a Form.
