Verify a New Hire's Eligibility for Employment with Fiddletree E-Verify

An integration with Fiddletree allows admins to electronically verify a new hire’s eligibility for employment by authorizing the information on their I-9 form.

A System Admin must enable the Fiddletree E-Verify integration before you can use this feature. For more information, see Configure the Fiddletree E-Verify Integration.

Additionally, for the e-verify option to show, a new hire must complete their I-9 and an Onboarding Admin must complete the second step of the I-9.

  1. Go to Employee Tools > Onboarding Dashboard and select the new hire's name from the Employee column.
  2. On the Employee Details page, scroll down and select the Task Tracker section to open the dropdown.
  3. In the I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification section, select Start E-Verify.

Fiddletree launches in a new browser tab.

Opmerking: If you have pop-up blockers enabled for your browser, you will see a message saying the pop-up was blocked. Select Start E-Verify a second time to launch Fiddletree.
  4. On the Fiddletree E-Verify for HR Management page, select Continue.
  5. Review the new hire's I-9 information listed to make sure it is accurate.

If any information is incorrect, go back to the web portal and correct the I-9 form. Then start the e-verify process again.

  6. If the information is correct, select Create Case.
  7. Verify that the photo matches the photo on the new hire's identification documents and select one of the options listed:
    • Yes, this photo matches
    • No, this photo does not match
    • No photo displayed
  8. Select Submit and Continue to Case Results.

After several seconds, the results load. If the new hire's eligibility has been authorized, you will see a green Employment Authorized status box.

  9. Return to the Vista Web portal.

After a successful verification, a PDF confirming the verification attaches to the new hire's onboarding details in the portal.

After confirming the new hire's eligibility for employment, you can Initialize a New Hire to Vista.

After initializing to Vista, a PDF copy of the verification also attaches to the new hire's record in Vista (either the HR Resources or PR Employee record, depending on which form is selected in the portal settings).
