Enter Invitation to Bid Requests screen

Use the Enter Invitation to Bid Requests screen to enter invitation to bid requests for vendors based on estimates created in the Manage Estimates screen.

You can copy an existing invitation to bid request to create a similar request for a different estimate job. If you copy an existing invitation to bid request, you can include the binder items from the original invitation to bid request.

Use the Enter Invitation to Bid Request Pop-up window popup window available from this screen to create a PDF file of an invitation to form that you can view, print, or attach to an e-mail. The application automatically attaches the PDF file to its associated record in a binder item.

Tip: You can use the Modify Forms screen to modify the format and layout of this form.

You must have the software required to open a PDF file—such as Adobe Reader—installed on your computer to be able to view it. You can also send an e-mail with the PDF file as an attachment. You must have MAPI-compliant e-mail software—such as Microsoft Outlook—installed on your computer to send an e-mail message with an attachment.

Note: To open the Enter Invitation to Bid Requests screen, click Estimating > Invitations to Bid > Enter Invitation to Bid Requests in the All Tasks pane.
Note: After you enter an invitation to bid request, you may want to record invitation to bid responses, using the Enter Invitation to Bid Responses screen.
