Draw a Freehand Markup

Freehand markups are used in Trimble Connect for Browser's 3D Viewer to draw on object surfaces to add information to a View.

Freehand markups cannot be edited. You can only change the color.

By default, the markup dropdown shows that tool. Create a View to share the markup with others.

Guidelines to manage a freehand markup:
  • The placement of the freehand markup cannot be edited after creation.
  • Drawn markups cannot be edited after creation.
  • Freehand markup selected state is yellow.
  • You cannot specify snap preferences for freehand markups.

To draw a freehand markup:

  1. Open your project in Trimble Connect for Browser and navigate to the 3D Viewer.
  2. After you have loaded a model inside the Viewer, on the toolbar, open the Markup menu by selecting Markup Options.
  3. Activate the Draw Markup tool.
  4. Pick the point where you want to place the markup and hold down the left mouse button.
  5. Drag the mouse to draw the markup.
  6. Release the left mouse button.
