Upload a Workset to Support

Follow these steps when you are asked to upload a workset to support.

When we ask you to upload your workset to Support, we want to get your full project to be able to reproduce what you are experiencing.

Inside the application, there is a solution to help you do this operation. The service requires that data sets and files are not opened by any application.

  1. Navigate to Help > Upload to support.
    The Contact Support window opens.
  2. Select the appropriate workset in one of two ways:
    • Highlight the appropriate workset in either the Recent Projects or Worksets tab. Choose Select to select the files for upload.
    • Select Manually add files to browse your system files for the appropriate binder file.
  3. Fill in the Subject field as follows:
    • If you are uploading a workset for an ongoing support case, include the subject of the email for this support case in the Subject field.
    • If you are uploading a workset for a new support case, provide a clear subject in the Subject field and a detailed description of the issue in the Description of problem field. If possible, include steps to recreate the issue.
  4. Choose whether you want to send the Model + Log Files or Only Log Files. Consult our support team if you are unsure what to send.
  5. Select Zip.
The selected files will be compressed into a .zip file. For large data sets, this may take some time. Once complete, the size of the resulting .zip file displays.
  6. When you are satisfied with the size of the .zip file, select Upload.
The upload process executes. For large data sets, this may take some time. When the upload process is complete, the application can be closed. A verification email is returned. A notification email is sent to Support.
  7. If the upload or .zip fails, please report this to Support and use this workaround.
Note: We are not liable for files shared using third-party solutions.
    1. Navigate to the project files on your computer.
    2. Zip the project folder.
    3. Upload to a file-sharing service provider online that you trust or a FTP server that your company provides.
    4. Email the link to this .zip file to connect-support@trimble.com.
