Note: As part of Novapoint 2025.4 an IFC Feature Catalogue is released on Quadri for Windows. When starting Quadri with the Novapoint extension it does no discriminate on the feature catalogue in use on the project. Because of this, Novapoint will be available on these projects also. For Novapoint we have some templates prepared, but they are in BETA mode and not intended for production.

Trimble Drawing 2025

Since Novapoint 2025.5, the Trimble Drawing 2025 v. 3436 is to be used. However, continuing to use the older versions may still be OK. If you have any problems we suggest you update your Trimble Drawing 2025.

NOVAPOINT CAD TOOLS

ENHANCEMENT: SMK command extended to draw slope symbols along 2D polyline, in addition to the existing Polyline geometry types.

Norway

  • Draw Longitudinal Profile from Quadri
  • FIXED: Changed drawing style for Norway.Terrain.Standard to show more decimals on the Y-axis (H.O.H.), instead of rounding to closest number.

NOVAPOINT ROAD

Road surface

  • ENHANCEMENT: Alignment as surface edge now supports infinite number of elements, increased from 2500 elements from before.
    Note: Many elements on these alignments will drive up the computation time, but can be handled via Roadmodel Settings > Profiles.

Pavement

  • ENHANCEMENT: Right-click to 'Cut' subsurfaces of detailed pavement in addition to 'Copy' and 'Paste'.
  • ENHANCEMENT/FIXED: Some pavement changes to fix or improve the results compared to before.

Sight distance analysis

  • ENHANCEMENT: Changed so that we now allow sight distance calculation to be performed on roads that are shorter than 100m.

Geometry reports

  • FIXED: Missing template frames for the alignment reports that you get out from the road task geometry report tool.

Finland

  • FIXED: Quadri for Windows: Presentation setup YIV now shows all stringlines for the structure layers.
  • NEW: CAD: Styles for Draw Horizontal Alignment for Vayla covering Road and Rail domain.
  • NEW: CAD: Styles for Draw Longitudinal Profile for Vayla covering Road and Rail domain.
  • NEW: CAD: Added 3 template files for Draw Roadmodel for Vayla. They are available from here on the installation: \NP_Acad\Base\PresentationEngine\tools.

Switzerland

  • NEW: Road Standard Switzerland (2022) covering HLS, HVS, VS, SS, ES roadtypes, including the relevant profiles, crossfall- and widening calculations.

Alignment Design

  • NEW: Equalibrium Cant Constant can be set in the 'Data > Railway Designs Standards' dialog.
  • NEW: Cant Base can be set in the 'Data > Railway Designs Standards' dialog.
  • FIXED: Advanced 3D polyline offset function did not consider CANT correctly in all cases.
  • FIXED: Cases of wrong cant in the LandXML file when using adverse cant in some combinations/functions.

Alignment Report

  • FIXED: Report for .GEO did not produce a file.

Platform Edge Design

  • FIXED: Using an excel sheet for input only accepted period as decimal separator.
  • FIXED: The report only showed R= -1 in cases of clothoid.

Ballast railway surfaces

  • ENHANCEMENT: When making a new railway model or converting a pre-NP2025.4 model, the extent of railway surfaces ±2.19 and ±3.01 is set to 'infinity', using -999888 and 999888 as the maximum values. With the recent changes in railway models there is no updates done with these surfaces when running the Wizard so an infinite value is more appropriate.
    Note: For all already converted railway models the users need to add these values manually.

  • 808.601a - Added a new sign that supports an alternative for two cars.

Danish Version

  • Fixed
  • General - The line type was sometimes automatically changed after reopen DWG.

Norwegian Version

  • Fixed
  • General - In some cases the line width was set to 0 when change line type in the edit dialogue.

NOVAPOINT LANDSCAPE

Elevation tools

  • FIXED: In special cases the spot elevations could change z-value when working in the settings dialog.
  • ENHANCEMENT: Moving spot elevations to elevation lines now inserts the point on the elevation line when moving the point to it.
  • FIXED: The visual representation of 3D polylines from PEs was not updated when moving. Had to restart the drawing for changes to take affect.
  • ENHANCEMENT: Settings dialog fell behind the CAD software when doing changes to f.ex color.
