Import LandXML Files

Follow these steps to import LandXML .XML files from AutoCad into Object Manager.

LandXML is an open XML file format. The format was principally created by and for the survey, civil engineering, and transportation industries. LandXML format supports points, surfaces, and alignments.

In LandXML import, you can:
  • Import station equations.
  • Create a task for modifying alignments imported from other systems. When you Import XML file via Trimble Connect, LandXML is the default adapter.
  • Select multiple alignments in settings, as a single LandXML file can contain multiple groups and multiple alignments within the group.
  1. Follow the general steps in Import Files.
  2. Specify options in the LandXML Reader Settings Editor's Import Settings.
  3. Select OK.
  4. Complete additional steps in Import Files.
  5. Select Finish.
