Add a Polygon Annotation

You can use polygon annotations to draw on documents and to add information to a View.

Polygon annotations can be edited after creation. They can also be moved by drag and dropping it.

To add a polygon annotation:

  1. Open a file in Trimble Connect for Browser's 2D Viewer.
  2. On the toolbar, open the Shape Annotation menu.
  3. Select the Rectangle Annotation tool.
    The tool will become active.
  4. Add multiple points by clicking in the document.
  5. Return to the first added point to complete the annotation.

Edit a Polygon Annotation

You can edit polygon annotations in the 2D viewer.

To edit a polygon annotation:
  1. Select the annotation.
  2. Click and drag one of the end points to edit the boundary and shape.
  3. To move the position of the annotation, click and drag the annotation (from the center) to the desired area.
  4. Release the left mouse button.

Style Properties of a Polygon Annotation

The style properties can be accessed by selecting Style after the annotation is selected.

Changing the opacity will affect the entire Annotation (not just the fill independently).
