Enter names for WBS and UBS codes from the Catalog tab
- Open a job in the Manage Estimates screen.
-
From the Catalog tab, click
Define
on the speedbar and select Globals.
- For each WBS and UBS code, enter a descriptive name in the Code column. By default, the WBS codes are named WBS1 through WBS20 and the UBS codes are named UBS1 through UBS5.
-
From the Parent column, click
to select the parent WBS or UBS code if needed.
- In the Mask field, enter characters that will appear in place of the code value when adding or editing values.
-
Select the Read Only checkbox to make the code read only, which prevents any one from changing the code value on a cost item. WBS codes used with Alternates and Change Orders are automatically set to read only.
Note: You can add values to WBS codes from this popup window by clicking WBS Codes or to UBS codes by clicking UBS Codes. See WBS/UBS Code Values for more information.
- When you have finished entering WBS/UBS code names, click OK.
