Configure Daily Attestation

Daily attestation (daily sign-off) applies to employee and crew timesheets, and may be used with daily or weekly time periods.

If you configure daily attestation, employees will be prompted to sign off on required questions at the end of each day.

Employees can review their daily attestations from their employee timesheet or crew timesheet, Timesheet Review page, and the Clock In / Out page.

Managers can review daily attestations from the Timesheet Summary.

  1. Select Settings > Application Settings.

    The Settings page opens.

  2. From the list of settings categories on the left side of the page, select Timesheet.
Tip: You can also search for the setting name using the search field above the category list.

  3. Enable the setting Use Employee Attestation.
Note: The legacy setting Use Attestation Questions on Employee Timesheets is no longer being maintained. All future enhancements will focus on the setting Use Employee Attestation.
    • If you had been using the legacy setting and you enable Use Employee Attestation, the legacy setting will no longer be available. We recommend enabling the new setting so that you can take advantage of enhancements and updates related to daily sign-off.

    • If you had not previously enabled the legacy setting, it will not display.

  4. In the Attestation Questions section, select Add Question.

This adds a new line to the Question list.

  5. Enter the text for the question that employees and crew members must answer when signing of on their timesheets at the end of each day.
  6. For each question, configure the following options:
    • Valid Answer: Select Yes or No. Invalid answers are flagged in red on the Timesheet Summary.

For example: If the question is Did you take your breaks today? the valid answer is Yes. If the employee answers No, their attestation will be flagged on the Timesheet Summary.

    • Require Comment: Select Yes or No. If you select Yes, employees will be required to enter a comment when answering this question in all cases.

    • Require Comment on Invalid Answer: Select Yes or No. If you select Yes, employees will be required to enter a comment only if they give an invalid answer to the question.

For example: If the question is Were you hurt on the job today? and the valid answer is No, the employee will be prompted to enter a comment only if they answer Yes.

  7. When you are finished, select Save Questions.
