Assign Contacts to a Job

Assign one or more contacts to a job.

In addition to adding contacts, you can also create and edit contact information directly from the Edit Jobs page, as described below.
  1. Select Time & Jobs > Job List.

  2. To narrow the job list, use the Filter / Search section at the top of the page:
    1. Enter information in any of the fields shown to filter or search by that field. For example, to filter for all jobs currently in progress, select the Current Status field, and then select Inactive/Complete from the dropdown list. You can also search by a Job #, Description, and Project Manager.
    2. To exclude closed jobs from your search, select the checkbox for Exclude Closed Jobs.
    3. Select Advanced Search to access additional filter/search options, including the Job Type, Location, Job Category, and Work Order #.
    4. When you are finished choosing filter options, select Search.

  3. Select a job in the grid.

  4. Select Edit in the upper right of the page.
  5. Scroll to the Contact Information section.
  6. In Assign Contact(s) to this Job, search for and select a contact. Repeat this step to add more than one contact.
  7. If the job does not already include a list of contacts, select Create & Manage Client Contacts:
    1. In the Contacts window, select Add Contact.
    2. In the Add Contact window, enter the first and last name for the person, and any other contact information that you have available.
    3. To save the information and assign this person to the current job, select Save & Add to Job.
    4. To save the information without assigning the contact to the current job, select Save Contact.
    5. When you are finished adding or editing contacts for this client, select Cancel in the Contacts window.
  8. To edit or remove an assigned contact for this job, select either the Edit icon or the Delete icon in the Contact Information section.
  9. To edit or remove a contact for this client, select Create & Manage Client Contacts in the Contact Information section. Then select either the Edit icon or the Delete icon for that contact.
  10. When you are finished adding or editing contacts, select Save Job.
