Field

Click to select the field you want to find items by.

The field column specifies which field (column) you want to search. For example, if you are searching for cost items that have the word Concrete in the Description, you would select Description in the Field column.

Select By

Click to select the condition for the column you selected.

The column you select in the Field column determines what options are available in the Select By column. The option you select could be a mathematical operator, such as = (equal) or > (greater than), or it could be something like Starts with or Contains. The mathematical operators are used for columns that contain only numbers.

If you select Type in the Field column, the Select By column also contains the Value and you should not enter a separate Value. For example, you can select "Is Equipment" to look for equipment type cost items.

Value

Enter the value you want to find.

The Value column enables you to specify what information to search for based on the Field and Select By options you selected. For example, if you select to search the Quantity column for cost items that are equal to 0 (zero), you would select Quantity in the Field column, = in the Select By column, and 0 in the Value column.

Note that some Fields and Select By options you select do not require you to enter a Value.
