Manage Sheet Revisions
Use the Manage Sheet Revisions option to overlay sheets to track revisions to plans and highlight the changes between the two—using colors of your choice—with the ability to toggle the visibility of either sheet on and off.
To open a job in the Manage Estimates screen, click OK.
in the All Tasks pane. Then select the job you want to open, and clickIf annotations were added to the original sheet before importing the revised plan, you can move or resize them to fit the revised changes as well as add new ones. See Manage Annotations for more information on this process.
The Update Plan and the Manage Sheet Revisions Features
Use the Update Plan feature to import a revised sheet while retaining your original annotations. Unlike the Manage Sheet Revisions feature, Update Plan physically replaces the existing sheet with the new one.
With either option, you can always go back to the original sheet if necessary.
The images below show the differences between Manage Sheet Revisions and Update Plan.
The Sheet Alignment Tool
Use the Sheet Alignment Tool to align, resize, and rotate a sheet revision to match the original sheet. In the Viewpoint Sheet Alignment Tool window, the original sheet appears in blue and the revised sheet appears in red. If you are aligning two revised sheets, the application selects the lower numbered revision as the original sheet.
