I-9 Audit Log Columns

The following table provides descriptions for the columns shown on the I-9 Audit Log.

Note: The top row of the I-9 Audit Log lists the date and time when the system began recording audit log data for the new hire. The column headers follow that information.
Column Description
User Name The name of the HR admin or HR specialist who entered or changed information on the employee's form.
Note: This field is blank for new hire entries because new hires do not log in to your portal to enter information on their I-9 form.
New Hire Name The first name, last name, and new hire ID for the new hire whose I-9 audit log you are viewing.
Note: The new hire ID is an internal ID that the system uses to differentiate between new hires. It is different from the employee ID and is not something that your HR team needs to maintain or track.
IP The IP address for the user who entered or changed information on the form.
Field The name of the field on the I-9 form that was entered or changed.

Example: Phone
Description The description of the entry or change made to the field.

Example: Section 1: Employee's Telephone Number
Input The information added to the field.

Example: (555) 555-5555
Date and Time (UTC) The date and time (UTC) when the entry or change was made.
