Set Up Your Trimble ID MFA Methods

Set up more than one MFA method so that if for any reason one method is not working for you, you can rely on the other methods you have set up in advance.

If you are a non-federated user, you can update your own Trimble ID credentials, including your multifactor authentication (MFA) settings.
Note: If you are a federated user (meaning your organization manages your login credentials), contact your administrator if you need to change your email address, password, multifactor authentication setup, or other settings. You don't have the required access to change these settings.
To set up your MFA methods:
  1. Go to myprofile.trimble.com and log in using your Trimble ID.
  2. If you previously set up a passkey, you can use this existing passkey as a form of MFA. If you have not set up a passkey, go to the next step to choose an MFA method to enable.
    1. Enter your password, then select Sign in.
    2. Select Continue to use your existing passkey.
A confirmation message displays that your passkey was enabled as MFA.
    3. Select Done.
  3. On your profile page next to one of the MFA options, select Set up and follow the prompts to set up that method of MFA.
    Important:
    • Enable multiple authentication methods in case you lose access to your first MFA method.
    • Starting in April 2025, SMS is not a supported MFA method.
