The purpose of this selection is to generate the geometry from the sweep tool from the information saved at the input features.
In order to do so, you have to:
- Select the Automatic Feature Type, which you want to generate a sweep from.
- The list available in the UI is found from the selected Input Features types.
Sweep will then check the Input Features towards Automatic Feature Type and only generate a sweep for that feature type selected. Furthermore, all sub-selections of attribute types, as listed below:
- Automatic Shape
- Automatic Reference Location
- Automatic Width
- Automatic Outer Height/Diameter
- Automatic Inner Height Diameter
- Automatic Thickness
These will be possible attribute types stored at that selected feature type. If these selected attribute types have an instance at the Input Features, they will be used as parameters for the sweep generation.
There are some additional checkboxes, which are used for controlling the computation behavior. These are:
- Determine Wall Thickness (inner/outer) from Material Type
- Use Thickness = Outer - Inner
- Copy Input Feature and Store Results in the Copy
Automatic Feature Type
Choose the feature type you want to use to generate sweep geometry from.
Automatic Inner Height Diameter
The UI list displays all possible attributes in the selected Automatic Feature Type.
If this is selected, the Length Diameter and Outer Diameter Height are disabled.
Outer Diameter/Height will also be unchecked. The selected attribute instance value will then be used, instead of the Length/Diameter ribbon UI value.
This feature ensures that the inner height or diameter is automatically determined based on the chosen attribute, streamlining the input process and maintaining consistency.
Automatic Outer Height/Diameter
The UI list displays all possible attributes in the selected Automatic Feature Type.
If this is selected, the Length Diameter and Outer Diameter Height are disabled.
Outer Diameter/Height will also be checked.
The selected attribute instance value will then be used, instead of the Length/Diameter ribbon UI value.
Automatic Reference Location
The UI list displays all possible attributes in the selected Automatic Feature Type.
Here you select the attribute type, which Input Features should be used to make a map between the feature's attribute instance result and Location.
If a value has been selected, the Location Ribbon dialog is disabled and only the selected attribute instance will be used to determine the location of the geometry.
Automatic Shape
The UI list displays all possible attributes in the selected Automatic Feature Type.
Here you select the attribute type, which Input Features should be used to make a map between the feature's attribute instance result and Shape Form.
If a value has been selected, the Shape Form Ribbon dialog is disabled and only the selected attribute instance will be used to determine the Shape Form of the geometry.
Automatic Thickness
The UI list displays all possible attributes in the selected Automatic Feature Type.
If a value has been selected, the created hole is disabled and checked.
If both Automatic Outer Height/Diameter and Automatic Inner Height Diameter have been selected, Automatic Outer Height/Diameter is used as the thickness origo.
Automatic Width
The UI list displays all possible attributes in the selected Automatic Feature Type.
If a value has been selected, the Width ribbon dialog gets disabled and only the selected attribute instance will be used to determine the Width of the geometry.
Copy Input Feature and Store Results in the Copy
If this is clicked, the input feature is copied and used as a holder for the sweep result.
Output Feature will then be disabled in the ribbon.
Determine Wall Thickness (inner/outer) from Material Type
If this is selected, the tool checks the input feature for its material type and uses this information to determine if the Outer Diameter/Height is outer or inner.
If this selection is clicked, Outer Diameter Height is no longer visual in the UI ribbon.
Use Thickness = Outer - Inner
This selection is only enabled when both Automatic Outer Height/Diameter and Automatic Inner Height/Diameter are selected.
If clicked, thickness will be calculated from the difference between these two results, instead of the Automatic Thickness selection.
If not clicked, a thickness will not be calculated.
