Sort Locations

You can alphabetically sort the elements in the Location pane, making them easier to locate.

Note: In Field View, locations and assets are also each known as 'elements'.

Note:

Deactivated elements are included when sorting. To view deactivated elements, select Show in the toolbar.
When you sort, only immediate child records are sorted, not the elements nested within.

To sort elements:

Confirm you're working in the correct project.
Select the menu icon in the upper left corner, then choose Project Setup. Select Drawings.
Select Drawing Calibration.
In the Locations pane, select the ellipses for the element whose child records you want to sort.
Select Sort Alphabetically.
A confirmation message appears.
Select Continue.
The immediate child records are sorted alphabetically.
If you want to sort elements nested within another element, select that element and repeat the steps above.
