View Models

View a Single 3D Model

Download a 3D model to your device.

Note: You can view any 3D file listed on our Supported File Formats page.
  1. Open a project in Trimble Connect for Mobile.
  2. Go to the Data page.
  3. Select a 3D file.
    A toolbar opens at the bottom.
  4. On the toolbar, select Launch.
    The model downloads to your device.
After download is complete, the model opens in the 3D Viewer.
Note: If the file doesn't automatically load in the 3D viewer, deselect the file, select it again, and then select Launch.

View Multiple 3D Models

Download multiple 3D models simultaneously to your device.

Note: You can view any 3D file listed on our Supported File Formats page.
  1. Open a project in Trimble Connect for Mobile.
  2. Go to the Data page.
  3. Select multiple 3D files.
    A toolbar opens at the bottom.
  4. On the toolbar, select Launch.
    The models download to your device.
After download is complete, the 3D Viewer opens.
Note: If the files don't automatically load in the 3D viewer, deselect one of the models, select again, and then select Launch.

Show or Hide Models

Control the visibility of individual models in the 3D Viewer or the legacy 3D viewer.

  1. Open a federated model in Trimble Connect for Mobile's 3D Viewer.
  2. In the 3D Viewer, select the Menu (top left of the screen).
  3. Select Models.
  4. Select Visibility next to a model name.
    The state changes to hidden.
  5. Select Back.
    Only the visible models display.
    Note: To clear the filter and display all models, on the bottom toolbar, select Reset.
If the model(s) is/are very heavy, select Cancel to stop it from loading, so you can move on to another task.
