Enter Transmittal screen

Use the Enter Transmittal screen to create transmittals. A transmittal is a cover sheet that accompanies documents, drawings, and items sent to project stakeholders. It lists the items being sent and explains to recipients why they are receiving the items and what actions are required. The transmittal also serves as a record of what was sent.

Use the Enter Transmittal screen to create a PDF file of a transmittal form that you can view, print, or attach to an e-mail. ProContractor automatically attaches the PDF file to its associated record in a binder item.

Conseil : You can use the Modify Forms screen to modify the format and layout of this form.

You must have the software required to open a PDF file—such as Adobe Reader—installed on your computer to be able to view it. You can also send an e-mail with the PDF file as an attachment. You must have MAPI-compliant e-mail software—such as Microsoft Outlook—installed on your computer to send an e-mail message with an attachment.

Conseil : You can also create a transmittal related to an existing document by clicking Create Transmittal on the quick link bar on the existing document's screen. ProContractor will complete as much of the transmittal information as it can based on the existing document.
Remarque : To open the Enter Transmittal screen, click Projects > Project Documents > Enter Transmittal in the All Tasks pane.
