The October release of Field View will introduce the ability to create, save, and group different views of BIM models in both plan view and drawing calibrations, allowing users to easily access desired views without recreating them each time. To support this, new BIM View role permissions will be added to manage who can create, view, or edit these views. We’re also updating the way the plan view acts with 3D models, allowing you to see the model in a full display and easily switch between the 3D view and the 2D view for added efficiency. Please note that we are ending support for older versions of Android and iOS starting with the R11 release in November.
The Field View R9 release provides updates to the way to use 360 photos and 3D models on your mobile devices. When in a task or form created with a 360 pin, you will be able to return to the photo through a link. We also added buttons to show where a task or form was raised on a 3D model.
Welcome to the Field View R8 release! Now you’ll be able to resolve duplication in a form when different devices answer the same question with the web application. This functionality already exists in the mobile app. We made updates to the BIM setup, allowing you to effortlessly replace generated drawings with drawings from your drawing library and see the old and new drawings side by side for placing anchor points. We moved enterprise organisation management into the web application for added efficiency with the plan to remove it from Classic Field View in the future. Also, we added download and delete functionality to 360 photos in the plan view.
The Plan View in the web application displays the project plans, including any calibrated locations, 360 photos, tasks, and forms.
The Drawings Library holds uploaded project drawings for you to assign and use across multiple locations. These drawings can be uploaded from Trimble Connect, VFP, or from your computer.
From your mobile device, you can create a copy of an existing form instance rather than completing a form from scratch, or move a form from its existing location to another.
