The Spectrum: Contract Status dataset provides information to create a Work-in-Process (WIP) Schedule. It includes fields such as Contract Billings To Date, Cost To Date, Earned Revenue To Date, Over/Under Billed to Date, Percent Complete, Projected Cost To Date, Provision for Loss and Revised Contract To Date.

This dataset is intended for the Controller and other Accounting staff with financial reporting duties.

Financials

Contract Billings To Date

This is the job-to-date contract billing amount for this project.

Cost To Date

This is the job-to-date cost amount for this project.

Earned Revenue To Date

Calculates the earned revenue to date depending on the contract's Earned Calculation method.

Estimated Cost To Date

The job-to-date estimated cost budget for this project. It is calculated as the original estimate plus Change Orders and Change Requests with cost revisions (Action types 1, 2, and 3).

Over/Under Billed To Date

This is Contract Billings To Date less Earned Revenue To Date.

Percent Complete

The percentage of completion for the contract. When the job's Earned Calculation is Percent, this is calculated as Job To Cost divided by Projected Cost To Date. When the job's Earned Calculation is Billed, Cost, or Master, this displays blank.

Projected Cost To Date

This is the projected cost to date for this project. When the 'Override calculation for contract status' checkbox is selected on Job Main Properties, the entered Projected Cost is used. This override value is assumed to be projected cost at completion for all periods. When the checkbox is not selected, the value comes from the Projected Cost History table.

Provision For Loss

Calculates the anticipated loss on a contract. This only displays a result when the difference of (Revised Contract To Date less Projected Cost To Date) less (Earned Revenue To Date less Cost To Date) is negative. Otherwise, this displays blank.

Revised Contract To Date

The sum of the original contract plus Executed and Approved Change Orders and Change Requests. When the contract is set to Unit Price, this is calculated as Projected Quantity multiplied by Unit Price.

Fiscal Period

Month

Includes all dates from the start of the month through the end of the month.

Period

Includes all dates from the start to the end of the fiscal period.

Job Details

Company Code

This code represents the Spectrum Company or Spectrum Group of Entities.

Cost Center

This code represents the cost center, profit center, or other way of grouping of the organization.

Cost Center Description

The description for the specific cost center.

Cost Groups

This code represents the cost center, profit center, or other way of grouping of the organization.

Cost Markup %

The percentage added to the Cost To Date of a contract to determine its Earned Revenue To Date.

Division

Used to group different assets together for reporting purposes.

Earned Calculation

Indicates the method used to calculate the Earned Revenue To Date on a project.

Billed: Calculated as Contract Billings To Date.

Cost: Calculated as Cost To Date multiplied by the Cost Markup %.

Master: Calculated as Contract Billing.

Percent: Calculated as Percent Complete multiplied by the Revised Contract To Date.

Job Address

The primary location information (street name, number) for the job.

Job Code

This code is used to identify the job.

Job Comment

Any comments or notes about the job.

Job Description

A description of the job.

Job Status

Filters the report data to include jobs that are coded as either Pending, Open, Soft Closed, or Hard Closed. All are selected by default.

Master Job

Filters the report data by master job code or name. All are selected by default.

Price Type

Indicates how this job is billed. Options include Fixed, T+M, Cost Plus or Unit Price.

Unbilled Amount

The unbilled amount to be added to amounts already billed in order to determine earned revenue-to-date on the job.
